That which seeks to destroy life, liberty and justice for all is an enemy to me. That which seeks to destroy you, is an enemy to me. Ask me for friendship, and I say you have no need to ask, just receive. Ask me to befriend the world’s system, and I say, that system is the enemy of us. Should I befriend that which seeks to destroy us, though I may have pleasure for a moment, though I may prosper for a season, the end of such good is destruction, for the good of one is not the good of all, should I therefore befriend destruction for the benefit of one, for the benefit of some?
I have befriended you, for the good of all, and ALL is inclusive. Should I destroy another that you might gain, that I might gain, while others are destroyed.
Let the person who has ears listen!…
“How can I describe the people who are living now? They are like children who sit in the marketplaces and shout to other children,’We played music for you, but you didn’t dance. We sang a funeral song, but you didn’t show any sadness.'”John came neither eating nor drinking, and people say, ‘There’s a demon in him!’ The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and people say, ‘Look at him! He’s a glutton and a drunk, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ “Yet, wisdom is proved right by its actions.” Then Jesus denounced the cities where he had worked most of his miracles because they had not changed the way they thought and acted. Mat 11:15-20
What is a friend?
1. One who is attached to another by affection; one who entertains for another sentiments of esteem, respect and affection, which lead him to desire his company, and to seek to promote his happiness and prosperity; opposed to foe or enemy.
A friend loveth at all times. Prov 17.
2. One not hostile; opposed to an enemy in war.
3. One reconciled after enmity. Let us be friends again.
Wisdom is proved right by it’s actions….Jesus is a friend to the sinner. For He laid His life down for us, that we might be with Him. Are we? Have we? Have we repented of our sin or is He, the very Messiah who shed His blood to forgive our sin our enemy still?
1A. Jesus loved us at all times, desiring our company, seeking our happiness and prosperity, opposed to all that destroys us.
2A. Jesus came into this world without hostility, having power to destroy us, used His power to save us. We ALL shall rise from the dead unto judgment, not by works of our righteousness but by His shed blood, we are healed.
3A. Jesus says to each of us….Let us be friends again.
Will you, have you…The very Son of God has befriended us. Have we befriended Him? Are we like little children, playing in the streets, mocking His work on our behalf, saying to one another…look, look, a message of repentance whereby we may escape the judgment to come. And again, look, look, a message of hope whereby we may pass from life to life and enter everlasting joy prepared for us from the foundation of the world. Yet, never-changing the way we think therefor our actions never cease from honoring the good of one, the good of some but never the good of all.
“Then the king said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited don’t deserve the honor.Go where the roads leave the city. Invite everyone you find to the wedding.’ The servants went into the streets and brought in all the good people and all the evil people they found. And the wedding hall was filled with guests. “When the king came to see the guests, he saw a person who was not dressed in the wedding clothes provided for the guests. He said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without proper wedding clothes?’ “The man had nothing to say. Then the king told his servants, ‘Tie his hands and feet, and throw him outside into the darkness. People will cry and be in extreme pain there.’ Mat 22:8-13
Friend, everyone is invited to the wedding, YOU are invited to the wedding, There is eternal life for you. So come. This world, this life, is the shadow of darkness, filled with those who befriend one, befriend some, but do not befriend all. These are those who declare vengeance is mine, will repay evil for evil, and declare I will do good to those who will repay. But the King is the friend of all, He made a way for us to befriend all, by receiving His very nature, a nature contrary to ours, a divine nature which loves all. This is the free gift, the kingdom of heaven, His very Holy Spirit, the water of life. He will not force Himself upon you, neither will he allow you to force yourself upon others when judgment day comes. He allows you to go your way now, and He will allow you to go your way then. Those who partake of violence (befriending one, befriending some, but not all), those having improper dress, by their choice, will be separated unto their own kind. Those who partake of His divine nature, by their choice, receiving their-self the gift of proper dress, will be separated unto their own kind.
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. – Rev 22:17
