The right of every individual to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, independently. As soon at that individual enlists the help of another, their independent rights must be governed, in light of the same independent rights, held by the one they have enlisted to help.
In the case of employment, having the right to employ by enlisting the help of another, must be governed by the right of the employee to earn an independent living while employed. Failure to provide such a living, when means allow for it, to the profit of another, is in fact oppressive. Compound this oppression with ordinances requiring individuals to meet certain monetary requirements (housing, utilities, insurance, etc.) and oppression turns into slavery, it in fact creates wage-slaves. The individual no longer has the independence to live independently of their employer.
The right of the individual to earn an independent living must be protected. This means, individuals who work individually, have the right to gain and retain their wealth inline with their civil duty to contribute to the governance which protects their liberties. But this right to retain wealth does not extend to a body of individuals, where one or more individuals gain their independence through the enlistment of other individuals. But this is exactly what many pro-business individuals would have us believe, they would have us believe they have the right to not only own their own business, which is true, and there is not conflict in that. But that they have the right to enlist others into their business, for their profit, while paying unliberating wages. This very notion, steals the liberty of the individuals they enlist and those who commit such injustices want us to believe their right to profit, not independently but dependent upon others, is protected.
So I ask, what rights does the smartest one in the room have?
