Standing for Israel

Like the Apostle Paul, as a fellow Christian, I stand with, and I am willing to protect from persecution, both in word and deed, all those who are Jewish by birth and their nation Israel. Our Creator gave them land, just as He gave other nations their land. Who are we to raise our hand and despise the word of the LORD. Yes, the nation Israel has enemies, their nation has been persecuted in the past, but let us not be the ones doing the persecution, assisting the persecution, rather we ought to be the ones defending them from persecution. Paul declared, and I stand with him as part of spiritual Israel…

As a Christian, I’m telling you the truth. I’m not lying. The Holy Spirit, along with my own thoughts, supports me in this. I have deep sorrow and endless heartache. I wish I could be condemned and cut off from Christ for the sake of others who, like me, are Jewish by birth. They are Israelites, God’s adopted children. They have the Lord’s glory, the pledges, Moses’ Teachings, the true worship, and the promises. The Messiah is descended from their ancestors according to his human nature. The Messiah is God over everything, forever blessed. Amen. Rom 9:1-5

The Jewish people, the Nation of Israel, have delivered the Lord’s glory to the entire world. By them we have the very word of our Creator, the Law which is good for now, good for all, though not perfect. Though the law, being good but imperfect in that it was unable to save due to our weakness, shed light on that which is perfect. We have that which is perfect, birthed by the Jewish nation and given unto us. This perfection is the keeper of the law, our Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. Through this Nation, Christ came into this world to save us from our sin, to deliver us from the prison of our disobedience through His obedience.

The very one who desires to hold  us captive through the lusts of our flesh, the lust of our eyes, and the pride of life has been defeated. This defeat is being worked out even now, and because of this victory over death, the enemy having not surrender to defeat, rages, seeking whom he may devour. In this rage of defeat, the enemy continually seeks to persecute the woman, that nation, who brought forth our Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, the savior of everyone who calls upon His name.

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, power, kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah have come. The one accusing our brothers and sisters, the one accusing them day and night in the presence of our God, has been thrown out. They won the victory over him because of the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life so much that they refused to give it up.  Be glad for this reason, heavens and those who live in them. How horrible it is for the earth and the sea because the Devil has come down to them with fierce anger, knowing that he has little time left.” When the serpent saw that it had been thrown down to earth, it persecuted the woman who had given birth to the boy. Rev 12:10-13

So I stand with every person of Jewish decent, honoring them for the gifts they have given to the whole world. Whether the individual person of Jewish decent is a law keeper, a follower of the very Messiah birthed through them, and given to us all, matters not. For they are the chosen instrument by which salvation of the whole world has come. Therefor, because they have brought forth our deliverance from the prison of our disobedience. They have and continue to suffer persecution for the very deliverance they brought forth by the power of our Creator. Though not all of Jewish decent are Israel, I stand with all Jews.

Who is true Israel?

Now it is not as though God’s word has failed. Clearly, not everyone descended from Israel is part of Israel or a descendant of Abraham. However, as Scripture says, “Through Isaac your descendants will carry on your name.” This means that children born by natural descent from Abraham are not necessarily God’s children. Instead, children born by the promise are considered Abraham’s descendants. – Rom 9:6-8

We see those who are true Israel, are those who are truly born of the promise, not by natural decent, but through a supernatural rebirth, being born again as our Messiah declared…

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Joh 3:3-6

Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God on behalf of the Jewish people is that they would be saved. I can assure you that they are deeply devoted to God, but they are misguided.  They don’t understand how to receive God’s approval. So they try to set up their own way to get it, and they have not accepted God’s way for receiving his approval. Christ is the fulfillment of Moses’ Teachings so that everyone who has faith may receive God’s approval.  Moses writes about receiving God’s approval by following his laws. He says, “The person who obeys laws will live because of the laws he obeys.”  However, Scripture says about God’s approval which is based on faith, “Don’t ask yourself who will go up to heaven,” (that is, to bring Christ down).  “Don’t ask who will go down into the depths,” (that is, to bring Christ back from the dead).  However, what else does it say? “This message is near you. It’s in your mouth and in your heart.” This is the message of faith that we spread.  If you declare that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God brought him back to life, you will be saved.  By believing you receive God’s approval, and by declaring your faith you are saved.  Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be ashamed.”  There is no difference between Jews and Greeks. They all have the same Lord, who gives his riches to everyone who calls on him. So then, “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Rom 10:1-13

True Israel, are those who have called upon the name of the Lord, the very Messiah birthed by the Jewish nation of Israel. All those, whether Jew or Gentile, shall be saved.

Brothers and sisters, I want you to understand this mystery so that you won’t become arrogant. The minds of some Israelites have become closed until all of God’s non-Jewish people are included. In this way Israel as a whole will be saved, as Scripture says, “The Savior will come from Zion. He will remove godlessness from Jacob. My promise to them will be fulfilled when I take away their sins.” The Good News made the Jewish people enemies because of you. But by God’s choice they are loved because of their ancestors.  God never changes his mind when he gives gifts or when he calls someone.  In the past, you disobeyed God. But now God has been merciful to you because of the disobedience of the Jewish people.  In the same way, the Jewish people have also disobeyed so that God may be merciful to them as he was to you.

So we know, all born of he first Adam have fallen short, all have disobeyed God. Those having received the mercy of God through his Messiah, have been born again of the second Adam, and have become children of the law keeper. For…

God has placed all people into the prison of their own disobedience so that he could be merciful to all people. God’s riches, wisdom, and knowledge are so deep that it is impossible to explain his decisions or to understand his ways.  “Who knows how the Lord thinks? Who can become his adviser?”  Who gave the Lord something which the Lord must pay back? Everything is from him and by him and for him. Glory belongs to him forever! Amen! Rom 11:25-36

About SoundEndurance

I am a follower of The Way, holding to the doctrine of Jesus Christ the first born from among the dead, who lives and reigns forever more. Scripture is the basis of my beliefs which testify of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and confirmed in me by His Holy Spirit. The gift of eternal life is inclusive. Jesus shed his blood for all, He has purchased for each of us a resurrection from the dead unto judgment. His shed blood is our justice which satisfies our holy Creator blotting out our sins, making it possible for us to approach a holy, righteous God. In our approach to Him, we repent of our sin, we yield ourselves to His will, wanting to take on His very divine nature, desiring to be made new in His image and likeness thereby doing away with sin. It is through this faith in Him that we become children of God having received His Holy Spirit which does his commandments thereby entering eternal life and escaping the damnation of hell, the lake of fire to come. May we be blessed in the knowledge of Him. Kenneth S. Muratore Jr
