To The Honorable,

Creating more jobs loses it’s luster, if those jobs created do not afford the individual, the ability to sustain their-self, individually. How can we allow corporations to employee individuals, earning them a profit, in many cases millions and in some cases billions, yet classify those who earn such profits as smart enough to make others money but to stupid to earn a living wage.

Our current legislation, including our minimum wage laws, do little for the individual but protect the wealth of those who oppress the laborer. Our legislation essentially states the following….

The employee is smart enough to earn corporations millions but is too stupid to earn a living wage.

These ideas are not based upon my wisdom, but the Wisdom of our Creator which gives liberty to every man. How we use our liberty is how we will be remembered. Our Creator who redeemed all mankind, with the shed blood of His son, the Christ Jesus, purchased every man a resurrection from the dead unto judgment. How shall we be judged with respect to the use of the very liberties our Creator has purchased for us.

Every individual has their gifts. How shall we be judged for the use of our gifts bestowed upon us by Him. We have been given gifted legislatures for the good of all. We have others gifted as well who have taken their time to propose legislative options for achieving liberty and justice for all. Their  proposed legislation is titled a living wage, in efforts to in-act just wages for everyone who labors.

If we, as a Nation of Peoples, continue to ignore the oppression of those who labor among us, then, is it any small wonder our current national deficit is equal to our underemployment deficit?

If a business, any business, employees an individual, that business ought to pay a just wage, a living wage, enough to sustain their-self and their family. We should not give business the option of threatening this nation with moving their jobs elsewhere, we should demand they move their wage-slave jobs elsewhere. For we will drink coffee!

Who needs food stamps, cash assistance, and other indebted and entitlement services, when individuals are paid a liberating wage, a living wage, a just wage?

This is The Talking Point…Living Wages, liberating wages, just wages.

Stand up! Stand up for liberty and justice for all! It is your inalienable right, your duty, your charge.

About SoundEndurance

I am a follower of The Way, holding to the doctrine of Jesus Christ the first born from among the dead, who lives and reigns forever more. Scripture is the basis of my beliefs which testify of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and confirmed in me by His Holy Spirit. The gift of eternal life is inclusive. Jesus shed his blood for all, He has purchased for each of us a resurrection from the dead unto judgment. His shed blood is our justice which satisfies our holy Creator blotting out our sins, making it possible for us to approach a holy, righteous God. In our approach to Him, we repent of our sin, we yield ourselves to His will, wanting to take on His very divine nature, desiring to be made new in His image and likeness thereby doing away with sin. It is through this faith in Him that we become children of God having received His Holy Spirit which does his commandments thereby entering eternal life and escaping the damnation of hell, the lake of fire to come. May we be blessed in the knowledge of Him. Kenneth S. Muratore Jr
